The majority of my artwork portrays a whimsical or fantastical storyline. Visual storytelling has been my lifelong passion, and fortunately, my love of drawing came with it. I began illustrating as soon as I learned how to read and write, and I wrote my first illustrated story sometime in the first grade. I anticipated my weekly art instruction through elementary and middle school, and by high school I filled my schedule with every art class offered. In 2008, I earned a BFA in Illustration from Brigham Young University in Provo, UT.

My thirst for learning has not diminished since graduation. I have studied print design, web design, programming, and digital illustration. I have replaced, albeit not permanently, my paintbrush for a stylus, and I continue to create on a digital platform. I am interested in learning every aspect of visual communication from illustration, to web design, to 3D animation. I have been able to use what I learned as a freelance illustrator for an online gaming company, and as a graphic designer for an educational institution and a research facility.

In addition to pursuing artwork in all its forms, I enjoy writing and reading fiction, watching movies, enjoying nature, and spending my free time with my family and friends. I play the violin and I enjoy singing in groups. I like to travel and I look forward to traveling to Europe to see its art and architecture someday.
